Shiitake Mushrooms Growing Instructions
What we need
1. Shiitake log: weight 1. 30-1. 50kg, long 40cm, it is consist of sawdust, rice bran and spawn
2. Light: avoid sunlight, indoor nature light is fine
3. Temperature: 10-25degree range
4. Humidity: 80-90%
5. place: ventilation
6. A bucket: big enough where the shiitake mushrooms grow inside
7. A towel
Step1
Please ensure that you read through these instructions thoroughly before beginning your mushroom growing.
Step2
A bathroom or laundry is a great spot to grow shiitake. Shiitake mushroom will grow best where the humidity level is very high.
Step3
Remove all plastic packing from your shiitake mushroom log and discard.
Step4
Place the shitake logs in a bucket, spray clean water with a spray bottle on them.
Step5
Use a wet towel cover 4/5 of bucket top. This will help to increase the humidity inside the bucket.
Step6
It takes 5-10 days to grow up.
Step7
Spray water 1-2 times on shitake logs dairy and keep towel wet all the time.

Leave the shiitake log out of bucket without watering for around 2 weeks, this will give the log a rest and gather more nutrients for regrowing.

Place the shiitake log into the bucket and put in water and submerge for 24 hours for next flush.
Step11
Each shiitake log has the potential to produce up to 500g of fresh shiitake mushroom. It will grow in 3 flushes over a period of 8-10 weeks.
